Submissions Welcome! Please submit your original pieces of non-fiction, fiction, poetry, art, or political analysis.

Ghada Abdul-Aal, a 31-year-old pharmacist by training, started a blog in 2006 chronicling…and also mocking…Egypt’s dating and marriage culture. For someone who start blogging about her own experiences on the Egyptian dating scene, she has certainly made her mark: not only has
her blog been published as a book (also titled I Wanna Get Married, with an English version coming out this Fall), but it has also been transformed into a popular TV show on MBC featuring actress Hend Sabri as the lead character.  Her blog’s transformation from a personal project to a full fledged multi-media series has been covered by the Washington Post, the UK’s Independent, and most recently, NPR.  NPR affiliated America Abroad Media also hosted Ghada for their recent series on Youth Identity in the Arab World.
